PROMOTION PERIOD

The Barbados Lottery is conducting a second chance promotion for all Double Draw Mega Ball tickets. The promotion period begins July6 -August 8, 2020.

GENERAL RULES

To enter the Second Chance Drawings, visit the Barbados Lottery website click the banner “enter” on mybarbadoslotttery.com to enter or visit the Facebook page and click the learn more tab at the top of the home page.

To enter the Second Chance Drawings, players must take a photo of $20 worth of non-winning Double Draw tickets with the MEGA BALL showing date, serial number and the mega ball option selected as yes.

You may enter as many non-winning tickets as you wish. 

You may submit more than one (1) entry per Second Chance Drawing

Odds of winning any prize in any Second Chance Drawing shall vary depending upon the number of entries received for the Second Chance Drawing.

Entries received after the final entry deadline shall not be eligible for any Second Chance Drawing.

Winners shall be notified by the lottery.

Winner names and photos shall be posted on the website and social media platforms.

Second Chance Drawing dates are subject to change.

Cash shall not be awarded in lieu of prizes.

ENTRY RULES

To be eligible to enter the 2nd Chance promotion you must enter your name, country, phone number and a valid email address along with a clear image of the tickets.

The website and Facebook are the only method of entry into this Second Chance Drawing. Entries sent via any other method (mail/courier, drop-off etc.), shall not be opened, nor reviewed or returned and shall be disqualified.

You must take a photo of your tickets showing date, serial number and the mega ball option selected as yes. The Barbados Lottery shall not be responsible for data entry errors by entrants. 

Second Chance Drawing entrants must retain the game tickets they submit as proof of eligibility to claim their prize.

The entry deadline for the Second Chance Drawing is 11:59 PM on August 8, 2020 

All Second Chance Drawing entries are subject to validation by the lottery and may be disqualified if eligibility requirements are not met.

Game tickets determined to be in a stolen/missing inventory status or not part of a valid sold or promotional inventory status shall be disqualified.

DRAWING DATES AND PRIZES

The Barbados Lottery shall award a total of 5 prizes.  Winners will be announced at the end of the promotion. The prizes are Cash.

*Actual drawing dates are subject to change at the sole discretion of the Barbados Lottery.

WINNER NOTIFICATION

Winners shall be contacted by the lottery. Players should also check the social media platforms and website to see if they have won.

Each winner's name, photo shall be posted on the Website following the validation of the winners.

Disqualification, forfeiture and the selection of an alternate potential winner may result from any of the following: (a) the potential winner's failure to respond to any notification within the specified response period of 1 week; (b) the return of an email notification as undeliverable after three (3) attempts; (c)   the return of any other notice as undeliverable; (d) the potential winner's failure to provide satisfactory proof of age, (e) the potential winner's failure to execute and return the required documents within the specified return period; (f) the potential winner's failure to be available to receive the prize; (g) the potential winner's failure to validly claim the prize by the date specified in the prize award notification.

PRIZE CLAIM INFORMATION

Winners shall be notified by the lottery.  Once a winner is verified by the applicable lottery office a representative from the lottery shall be in contact with the winner for their prize.

USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

The collection, use, storage, and destruction of personal information submitted by an entrant for participation in the Second chance promotion shall be managed in accordance with the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. Your e-mail address and other information will not be sold or shared with any outside parties. Information shall only be collected from entrants that are age 18 and over. By submitting your Second Chance Drawing entry via the Internet and Facebook, you give the lottery permission to announce and publish your name and photos for marketing/promotional purposes if you are drawn as a winner in this promotion.

Privacy Notice

The Act requires that this notice be provided when collecting personal information from individuals. 

The Player Information requested on this form will be used to validate and process your claim. The lottery requires your National Registration Number not only a method of identifying you as one of our winners but also for auditing purposes 

The voluntary information you provided will only be used by the Lottery to conduct internal demographic studies (which may be completed by agents, contractors, and third-party affiliates).  It will not be disclosed to any government agency or members of the public.

You have the right to access your personal information maintained by the lottery office.

Purpose and relevancy of Information Collected: Information is collected to validate and process a claim for purposes of sales, marketing, research, security investigation, legal review, surveys and strategic planning as related to the operations of the lottery. By submitting this claim, you consent and agree to such use and waive claims whether known now or in the future related thereto. The Barbados Lottery is subject to public disclosure laws that allow access to certain government records. Your full name , the name and location  of the retailer who sold you the  winning ticket , the date you won and the amount of your winnings, including your gross and net payments, are matters of public record and are subject to disclosure. The lottery will not disclose any other personal or identity information without your permission unless legally mandated to do so. No information will be collected or accepted from known minors. You may be asked to participate in a press conference.


MISCELLANEOUS

The lottery reserves the right to modify, cancel, postpone, delay, suspend and/or terminate this Second chance promotion, in whole or in part, in the event that the promotion is not capable of running as planned or as intended by these Official Rules, by reason of any technical or other disabling causes or other causes that impair, corrupt or interrupt the administration, fairness, security or integrity or proper play of the Second Chance promotion, including without limitation hurricane, fire, flood, epidemic, earthquake, explosion, labor dispute or strike, act of God or public enemy, war, terrorist threat or activity or insurrection. In such event, the lottery may, in its sole discretion: (a) postpone and/or reschedule and/or modify the Second chance, or (b) cancel the second chance in its entirety. In the event of cancellation, the lottery shall award the prizes through a process deemed fair and equitable by the lottery and its administrators shall have no further liability to any participant in connection with the promotion. In no event shall the lottery be obligated to award more prizes than the number of prizes stated in these Official Rules.
